Green Almonds August 27.
On my walk today, I noticed some almond shells on the ground, so I picked one up. The shell was large and hard. I could not break it with my hands (and I was not going to try with my teeth. I used a rock to break it open the large, fresh nut inside. I ate a portion of it. It was still green but he almond flavor was intense and strong–nothing like it ever. For a moment it numbed by tongue. I wondered if green almonds are supposed to do that. Green almonds just exist–the better question: am I supposed to eat green almonds.
