Aguascalientes

Aguascalientes is a youthful, hard-scrabble city that does not have the colonial layout of SLP. But the city is laid out with shady plazas where people sit and relax. The economic life of the city is one of old established businesses such as the shops (like Mercado Teran) and trendy, hip bars, eateries and shops that cater to a youthful energy. This is the ancestral home of my friend Daniel Loera–and I thought of him and his town as we walked the streets. There was a military presence in the city (as there was in PVR) –the main plaza on our arrival was a parking lot of police cars and trucks. The people were friendly and helpful.
