Beatitudes of the World

Blessed are the rich and powerful for they shall want for nothing.

Blessed are the self-sufficient, for they need no one to comfort them.

Blessed are the strong, for in this world, might is right.

Blessed are those who enjoy life, for they will not grieve or weep or hunger or thirst.

Blessed are the ruthless for they will rule the world.

Blessed are those who values change with the wind for they have an easier life.

Blessed are the winners, for if you are not, you are a loser.

Blessed are the sexy and attractive, for others will seek you out.

Blessed are the popular, for you will live in the adulation of others. 

Again and again in small and little ways, the values promulgated by the world prick my heart and whisper in my ear.
