Some day I would like to plan unstructured time in my day. Like leaving a little early to work to prepare the day’s activities so that am I able to linger on and talk to parents and students and teachers unrushedly. Or better yet leave early to do nothing in the afternoon or make space catch up with my brother in the evening. Or when I run errands, intentionally not do one of them in case I come across a friend at Traders Joe’s or catch up with your neighbor. Or when going on a road trip put in a cushion of time so as to stop, take in the scenery or make room for serendipity. Or planning a weekend with nothing. Some day.
