And what will you do with your one precious life?
While planning with Kristen for our trip to China she
mentioned that D had resigned as of December to take care decision for her
mother but largely to pursue he devotion to Buddhism which brought her
presently to South Asia. Kristen feels her absence. I feel wistful longing for the freedom she has to
pursue her passion and work on her interior life. And what will you do with your one precious life? Mary Oliver says. And so what keeps me from
following my deepest desire? Fear. Security.
But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very
night your soul will be required of you; and now who will own what you
have stored away?’ So is the man who stores up material treasures for himself, but is not
rich with God.” Lk. 12:20-21
