I usually celebrate my birthday quietly as most Capricorns
do. But As I began to participate in the 50th birthdays of friends,
I began to think about how I wanted to celebrate mine. I really wanted to
celebrate the people in my life who have contributed to my being here. This
included my parents and immediate family. And I wanted to bring friends from
the various groups together: Academy, Flynn, Marshall, Church, and others. I
wanted to bring them together to celebrate them. I am grateful for God, for my
parents (who could not be there), my family for coming from out of town, for
Robert & Paloma’s photobooth, for Desiree and Mark for the work in prepping
the space and for everyone who stayed to clean. Thank you for the wonderful celebration.
