San Luis Potosí Day 1

I wanted to visit Mexico beyond PVR, so Richard and I traveled to the "silver city" of San Luis Potosi (a UNESCO site) and the interior city of Aguascalientes

As a young man, the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit provided guidance and education to  our community in Parlier, so I knew of Blessed Conchita. I knew she was from San Luis Potosi so I guess it was not surprising that the Apostolate of the Cross was made known to her in a Jesuit church.

En esta parroquia en 1894, Dios hizo ver a su sierva Maria Concepcion Cabrera de Armida la Cruz del Apostolado, como símbolo de las obras y de la espiritualidad de la cruz.

Richard and I had a little snack in this small cute restaurant.

The smoothies were great but Richard thought the portion of fries were not generous.

Jimmy Lai

“If I knew that I would be left here and up like this in prison, would I have changed the way I run my life? And I realized that, no, I won't. Because I’ve never done anything before intentionally, just naturally. So it must be my character. Now, if it's my character, it's my destiny. If my destiny, it's God's grace and blessing. So I was all relieved.”--Jimmy Lai, pro-democracy businessman and politician.
